Alice and the Easter Rabbit

I hope you are all enjoying the Easter Break!

I have been busy working away preparing Life Book lessons but managed to do this quick digital artwork. I realised I have not shown any of my digital art on the blog. I have a few other pieces that I will be showing here soon.

Easter has given me the perfect excuse to put together 'The Easter Rabbit' with an Alice in Wonderland theme. I have always favoured Alice and all the crazy things that happen to her in Wonderland. I must admit it has been a while since I have done any digital art so forgive me, as my skills are a little rusty.

................

I normally start off by sketching out my idea, then I will do a good clean ink copy, scan that into the computer and work on it from there.

I look for areas that might need adjusting, such as filling out her face more and any other details that are not working. I really enjoy working digitally, you can change the whole look or feel of a piece in a few clicks. Not to say digital is easy, starting out can be very difficult but it gets easier with practice. Just like working with traditional art materials, it has it's own challenges.

I love the world of whimsy and art is the perfect platform for indulging in the imagination, sometimes the subject matter or characters need coaxing, other times it is one wild adventure.

I hope you will join me on my art adventure and who knows who will come visiting next?

Until then, Happy Creating!

    1. Thanks so much Maggid, I love all the children's classics especially Alice in Wonderland. This might be my third variation on Alice over the last few years. I don't think I could ever get tired of revisiting the story. x
